Project Introduction
Tsinghua University Shenzhen International Graduate School (Tsinghua SiGs for short) is a public graduate education institution jointly built by Tsinghua University and Shenzhen City under the background of deepening the reform of higher education and promoting the construction of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
This case is the activity center project of Tsinghua University Shenzhen International Campus (Phase I). The overall building forms a diffuse public leisure area, self-study area, meeting area, office area and other different places in the connectivity to provide teachers and students with resource sharing areas for communication, learning and entertainment, meeting the needs of diversified international education.

Entering the lobby of the “Activity Center”, the soft light inside forms a sharp contrast with the vibrant colors of the furniture
The yellow, blue and orange color palette is refreshing, transparent and highly recognizable, and the natural light that fills the room creates an open and warm atmosphere, warmly welcoming visitors.
Through the decoration of furniture, the space is given colorful colors, expressing individuality and innovative concepts.
In addition to the commonly used reading tables and reading chairs, the communication space also provides single seats, multi-person booths, table and chair combinations, bars and other forms, which can meet the complex needs of single or multi-person meetings, discussions, socializing, etc. anytime and anywhere.
The vibrant colors of the furniture, paired with the industrial-style red brick walls, are bolder, more fashionable and full of personality in style, emphasizing the concept of freedom without constraints and diversity.

This place is open, free and inclusive. The furniture layout between the reading area and the book collection area is intertwined, and the desk can be used for both reading and self-study.
The original wood-colored furniture gives the space a sense of intimacy and comfort, and the bright-colored embellishments of some movable furniture present a youthful atmosphere and vitality.
Functional detail design
The entire design takes into account the practicality, aesthetics and comfort of the self-study reading space. Screen seats and power sockets are set up to create a quiet learning atmosphere.
TEACHING OFFICE AREA
The office area is designed with functionality and practicality in mind, with simple and bright light-colored furniture as the main design. The color-blocked partition screen desk is mostly used for highly professional and rigorous work. While enhancing communication and cooperation, it can also meet the needs of personal space and privacy.
The conference room furniture in the same color scheme also perfectly demonstrates the sense of order. The long small conference table, paired with comfortable and breathable conference chairs that are not tiring to sit on for a long time, can fully relieve the fatigue of the participants.
The large conference room is used for important customer reception and medium and large department meetings. The overall atmosphere is calm and grand, and the choice of solid wood conference tables and exquisite leather chairs makes it look neat and generous.
